Privacy Policy – SATHI – SaleEasy

SATHI – SaleEasy ("App") is mobile app by Department of Agriculture & Farmer’s welfare (DA&FW) used in SATHI project. This is intended to be used by small dealers and retailers for recording seed sale, stock, inventory, transaction management, and related activities.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following information:

Account and Authentication Information

• Username and account details
• Mobile number and other information required for authentication
• Authentication and session information
• Access tokens required to maintain a secure login session

Device Information

The App may collect limited device and technical information such as:

• Device model and operating system
• Application version
• Device identifiers
• IP address
• Technical and diagnostic information

Business and Transaction Information

When using the App, information related to your activities may be processed, including:

• Seed stock and inventory information
• Sale and distribution information
• Transaction and voucher details
• Other information required to provide the App's government services

Push Notifications

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. A device/application identifier or FCM registration token may be processed for delivering notifications to your device.

Analytics and Diagnostics

The App may use analytics and crash-reporting services to understand application usage, identify technical problems, and improve application stability.

2. Biometric Authentication

The App may provide fingerprint or Face ID authentication as an optional login mechanism.

The App does not collect, store, or have access to your actual fingerprint or facial biometric data. Biometric verification is performed by the device's operating system, and the App receives only the authentication result.

Information collected through the App may be used to:

• Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
• Provide seed sale, stock, inventory, and transaction services
• Process and manage transactions
• Send relevant notifications
• Maintain application security

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services such as Firebase for services including push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.

These services may process technical information in accordance with their respective terms and privacy practices.

6. Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or misuse.

Authentication and session information is handled using appropriate security mechanisms.

7. Data Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App's services, fulfill applicable government and legal requirements, maintain records, and address legitimate operational or security requirements.

8. Data Deletion

Where applicable, users may request deletion of their account or associated personal information through the appropriate government department or support channel.

Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, regulation, government policy, audit requirements, or legitimate administrative purposes.

Uninstalling the App removes locally stored application data from the device, subject to the device's operating system behaviour. Uninstallation does not necessarily delete information already maintained on government or service-provider systems.

9. Location Information

The App does not collect or track the user's GPS location or current physical location.

The App does not use GPS or location services to determine the user's current location.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for its authorized users and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when necessary to reflect changes to the App, applicable requirements, or data-processing practices. The updated version will be made available through the designated website or application.
